Assignment description:

General:
Mapping and geographic information is a department responsible for delivering services and products related to geographical data management, map production, onshore surveying, remote sensing and spatial information.

Tasks :
Depending on qualifications, relevant tasks will be one or more of the following:
• Planning, coordinating and implementing assignments associated with map production and geographical data management related to:
• Field layouts and Rig move
This involves producing field layout maps in close cooperation with field responsible unit, database maintenance for petroleum infrastructure and production of rig move map documents.
• Satellite data management
• Modelling and analysis of geographical data
• Contribute to establishing and updating standards and routines/procedures

Qualifications required:

Competency requirements:
• Bachelor/ Master degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline area
• At least two years experience from similar work

Experience to include:
• Mapping and geodesy
• Geographic information systems ( ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS server )
• Map production and cartography
• Spatial data management

Assignment description:

Background:

Valemon is a HPHT gas-condensate field located 10 km west of Kvitebjørn. The reservoir is complex with expected reserves estimated to 35-40 MSm3oe. Valemon is one of the largest non-developed fields on the Norwegian Shelf.
The Valemon project passed DG1 in 2004, DG2 in 2009 and is planned to pass DG3 mid year 2010. Jacket installation and drill-start is scheduled for 2012 while topside installation and production-start is scheduled for 2014.
The development consists of a first stage processing platform with export of unstabilised condensate to Kvitebjørn and export of rich gas to Heimdal via the existing Huldra-Heimdal export pipeline. Drilling is performed by jack-up rig. The platform will be controlled from Kvitebjørn after end of drilling phase.
Total facilities investment budget is in the order of 10 BNOK.

The position includes the following tasks/responsibilities;

Manage the Cost Control function in the project
Maintain the cost control structure in PIMS and SAP
Responsible for collection of monthly cost and progress information and prepare a total monthly project status (cost, progress and prognosis) including variance analysis and trend analysis.
MIS status reporting
Estimating of accruals
Coordination of the half-yearly current control estimate updates (CCE)
Establish work program and yearly budget for the project
Maintain prognosis and variance analysis against the approved budget
Control of change to project basis (change control)
Estimating of cost consequence of project changes
Documentation of project changes
Maintain the change register
Participate in other Cost Control issues and together with the Project Control Team constribute to coordinated and good work-processes in the interface towards defined stake holders.
